Building, upgrading or repairing your own campervan can be incredibly rewarding — but not everyone has a workshop, the right equipment or the experience to tackle every job.
That's where RoamApe Build With Us comes in.
Bring your van to our site near Nantwich, Cheshire and work on your own project with help available when you need it.
You don't have to hand your entire build over to us, and you don't have to struggle through everything yourself either.
Do it yourself. Build it with us. Or let us do it.
You decide how much you want to take on.
You might spend the day working on your own interior while we CNC-cut the furniture you've designed. You might want us to help install your electrics or diesel heater. Or you might simply get to a job you don't fancy tackling and ask us to take over.
We're flexible.

EVEN MORE AVAILABLE ON SITE
One of the biggest advantages of bringing your project to RoamApe is that we're not working in isolation.
We're based within a larger automotive site alongside a number of independent vehicle specialists.
That gives you access on the same site to services including:
MOT • Tyres • Servicing & mechanical work • Suspension • Vehicle diagnostics • Electronics • Bodywork • Paint & spraying • Engine/performance work
These businesses operate independently from RoamApe, but having so many different skills in one location means that if your project uncovers another problem, there's a good chance the right person isn't very far away.
It also means you can potentially get several jobs dealt with during the same visit.
STAY WITH YOUR VAN
Coming from further away or have a project that's going to take a few days?
For suitable projects, you can stay overnight in your own campervan within our secure private compound.
That means you don't necessarily need to book a hotel or keep travelling backwards and forwards while you're working on your van.
Toilet facilities are available on-site. We currently don't have shower facilities.
And you're not stuck in the middle of nowhere.
We're close to the local village, with pubs, shops and the local Labour Club just a few minutes' walk away — so once the tools are down for the evening, you can leave the van safely on-site and head out for something to eat or a drink.
PERFECT FOR SELF-BUILDERS
Build With Us could be ideal if:
- You're converting a van on your driveway and need somewhere better to work.
- You've started a self-build and got stuck.
- You can do most jobs yourself but need help with certain parts.
- You need access to CNC design and cutting.
- You've bought a camper and want to change the existing conversion.
- You're travelling and want to spend a few days upgrading your van.
- You want professional help without paying somebody to do the entire project.
- You simply want another pair of experienced hands when you need them.
You don't need to arrive with a perfectly planned conversion.

We'll work out what you can do yourself, where we can assist and what other services available on-site could help.
